Rohan has worked in the field of Community work since 1989. He gained a dgree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Leeds before a complete change of direction. He has a post graduate diploma in Community Education from Edinburgh University.
Rohan previously worked at Bonnington Resource Centre and managed Duncan Place Resource Centre for 18 years before it's closure. Whilst there he was instrumental in setting up and supporting Pulse of the Place. Rohan suffered two strokes in 2013, which meant giving up full time work. He has worked for A.R.Ts Afternoon as Project Lead and Development Worker since 2015. Rohan has a love of music and brings his enthusiasm to the post.
Sarah started samba drumming when she was in primary 3, she was involved with various drumming projects until she was 15yrs when she formed Pulse of the Place with her friends. Sarah has been Pulse since the start and continues to commit to making music accessible to all youg people to this day. She has attended a number samba drumming courses to improve her drumming technique and knowledge and is a very experienced tutor. Beth joined Pulse when she was in p6 aged 9 yrs. At 20yrs she has become an accomplished drummer with an HNC in Working with Communities. Beth joined the staff team through the Community Jobs Scotland Scheme and is currently employed in a part time capacity. Fergus is a Youth Worker through the Community Jobs Scotland scheme. The youth work is all new to him but he has taken to it and enjoys being part of the staff team. He has a love of drumming which he developed through his school days, this post has enabled him to re-ignite it. Steve has been involved with Pulse since 2011. Steve has dived into community work and is currently in the final year of a degree in Community Education at Ediburgh University. Steve is a popular worker who has an ability to make everyone feel comfortable in his presence. Steve is a fantastic drum kit player.
